SAB 2012- Fresh Vintage Kind Thanks

Layers of stamped images over newsprint is super cute! There are projects all over the crafting world (especially Pinterest) using pages out of old books and vintage sheet music. Call me crazy, but I just can’t bring myself to tear pages out of a book for paper crafting! If you’re like me, Stampin’ Up! has provided the perfect alternative in our First Edition Designer Series Paper (item 121878). 24 sheets for $12.95 is an affordable way to get a popular look for an endless variety of projects.

I made this card while hanging out with my friend Rachel and my new friend, Londi, who is a missionary with Youth for Christ. We had so much fun just being girls and doing what we love! Obviously, socializing is one of my favorite parts of this hobby and of my business. I try to take advantage of every opportunity to stamp with friends! If you like my project, please leave me a comment. I love hearing your perspective! Here is the card I made, inspired by one of Rachel’s layouts:

Create the look:

Tips: to get the worn looking edges on the sentiment banner and flower center, you can drag your thumbnail across the edge of the card stock. Or, if you’re averse to dragging nails across paper (it gives some people the willies!), you can purchase the Cutter Kit (106958), which has a rotary cutter, perforating tool, scoring tool, and 7-sided distressing tool, all in a compact keychain size. Perfect for projects on-the-go! For the layered flower, crumple the 3 punched flowers well before sponging with Crumb Cake ink. This gives a super vintage flair to the project.

  1. […] The stamp set in the background is a Sale-A-Bration set from 2012 called Fresh Vintage, it’s one of the sets I’ll hold on to because I love the versatility of the images. You can check out another card I made using Fresh Vintage here. […]
